Meet Molly, she/her

Molly is a Licensed and Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist and an Integrative/Functional Nutrition Certified Practicioner. Molly is accepting new patients.

Molly Ostrander, MS, RD, LD, IFNCP

Originally from Maine, Molly has spent the past 15 years in the south, and now lives in the Foothills of South Carolina. She got her Associate of Sciences (AS) in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI and worked for over 15 years as a professional chef before returning to school to become a Dietitian. Molly completed her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nutrition and Dietetics at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC and moved on to Jacksonville Florida for a combined Master of Science/Dietetic Internship )MS/DI) at University of North Florida. During her dietetic internship, Molly discovered integrative and functional nutrition and continued after graduation to obtain her Integrative/Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner (IFNCP) at Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy (IFNA).

Driven by her personal experience with Crohn’s disease, Molly is committed to helping women navigate their gut and hormonal health challenges. More specifically, she specializes in disorders of gut-brain interaction, celiac disease, autoimmune conditions, weight concerns, menopause, perimenopause, and GI disease and disorder. Her overall philosophy for all conditions includes intuitive eating in all sized bodies.

Now pursuing her Doctor of Clinical Nutrition (DCN) at Notre Dame of Maryland, Molly moves beyond traditional methods and focuses on the root causes of health issues. Using a whole-systems approach, she provides personalized care designed to restore gut health, rebalance the mind, and strengthen the body.

Her combination of a strong background in food, academic training, and clinical experience provides clients with the tools to navigate meal planning and preparation, restaurant choices, and true personalization of a therapeutic nutrition plan that works specifically for the individual.

Outside of work, Molly enjoys spending time in her garden, cooking, all kinds of physical activity, and traveling with her husband. She believes that nutrition is an addition problem (not a list of foods to avoid), and a full life should include foods you love + a clear understanding of how nutrition can support and heal.
